C-Trail Run 2017      




  This event is directed by an RRCA Certified Race Director




 When is the run?

    Saturday, March 11th, 2017

What is the distance?

     5k, 10K and a Kids .5 mile Fun Run

How much does it cost?

     C-Trail Kids $15 (10 & under)

     10K $30 on or before 2/28/16

     10K $35 after 2/28/16

     5K $25 on or before 2/28/16

     5K $35 after 2/28/16

Where is the run?

     Centennial Trail Trailhead in Lake Stevens East of Mt. Pilchuck Elementary

     13205 20th St. NE, Lake Stevens

Is the run a sanctioned event?
     Yes, we are sanctioned by the USATF

Is the course certified?

     Yes, the 5K and 10K course has been professionally measured and certified

Is it a chipped run?     

      Yes, timed by Tortoise and Hare

Can I walk?

     Yes, all participants must be off the trail by 11:30am

What time does it start?       

      6:30am: Vendor Set-up
   7:00am: Registration/packet pickup opens
:45am: C Trail Kids .5 mile (10 & under) begins
8:05am:  Runner Warm-Up
8:15am:  10K begins
8:20am: 5K begins
11:30am: All Race participants must be off the course/vendor take down (earlier if race director determines all participants are done)

Can I register the day of?
     Yes, registration opens at 7am

Where do I park?

     There is parking at the trailhead and street parking nearby

What sizes do the T- shirts come in?

     Women's and Men's small, medium, large and extra large

What is the fabric of the T-shirts?

     They are a Sport-Tek short sleeved T-Shirt, 100% polyester

What does the money raised go towards?

     This event will help to increase Chamber visibility in the community as well as supporting chamber events and operation of the chamber office.  A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Stephen R. Covey “Leader In Me Program” at some of our LSSD Schools.  Teaching our kids to be future leaders!

How many years has this run been going on?

     This will be our fifth annual run

Are there swag bags?


Can I sponsor this event?

     Yes.  There are three tiers of sponsorship

     Elite Running Shoe: $500

     Sneaker: $250

     Flip Flop:  $100

     $75 (2 needed) for Sports Authority Cards

     $50 (2 needed) for Sports Authority Cards

     $25 (2 needed) for Sports Authority Cards

     $15 (3 needed) for TCBY Cards

What if it rains?

     The run will be held rain or shine

How do I register?

     Online at active.com. 

What form of payment do you take?

     credit card or pay pal

Do the top winners get an award?

     There is a prize for the top 3 winners each in the 5 and 10k

Are there medals?

     Yes, all finishers will receive a medal

How many people can register?

     We have a maximum of 250 people

Can kids and pets run and walk?

     Yes.  Kids must be registered (unless in a stroller).

How is this event being publicized?

     Through numerous ways including; the chamber office and website, various running sites, local newspapers, sports facilities, and through 75+ local business with posters and event postcards.

Are there porta potty's?

     Yes, porta potty's will be available at the start and finish of the run.  There is also a restroom at approximately the 2.8 mile marker at the Machias Trailhead.

Will there be an aid car there?

     Local EMT is close by, and we will have a medic on site

Will there be hydration stations?

     Yes, there will be water stations at the 5k and 10k turn, as well as at the end of the run.

Will there be fuel (other than water) stations?


Will there be mile markers along the way?

     Yes, there will be markers at each mile                                                                                                                                                     Can I sign up to volunteer?


Do volunteers get anything for their time?

     Yes, all volunteers get a t shirt

Will it be safe to cross the roads during the run?

     The run on the C trial crosses over two roads, there will be road guards at each road.

What if I get injured during the run? 

     We will have a medic on hand at the start & finish line, as well as a volunteer biking the course.

Will there be a gear check?

     Yes, we can keep small items if you provide your own bag, or small items can go into the race envelope and we can keep that for you.

Can I pick up my registration packet early?

     You may pick up your registration packet starting at 7am on March 12th, the day of the run.

Will there be vendors at the finish line?

     Yes, we will have a limited number of vendors
